Musical talents on show at DSA's IDPWD events

by DSA

DSA’s International Day of People with Disability activities are a chance to celebrate achievement and the very real contribution made by people with a disability to the richness and diversity of our local communities.

Our events gave visitors an opportunity to enjoy live entertainment and a range of other fun activities. DSA’s Taren Point band ‘The Weeklies’ had everyone rocking out at DSA’s Picnic in the Park event at Blacktown, while ‘Hidden Wonders’ entertained the crowd at the Ability Walk event in Mittagong.

Sincere thanks to all our supporters including the local councils, businesses, emergency services, other disability providers and schools. Your involvement greatly contributed to the success of each event.

A special thank you also to NSW Police – the opportunity to get up close with one of the Pol-Air choppers was definitely a highlight of the Blacktown event!

Thank you too to everyone who attended – it certainly looks like you all had a great time! For more pics you can check out our album on our Facebook page.
