Mental Health In Multicultural Australia

A national body for multicultural mental health and suicide prevention. Information in a number of community languages.
Transcultural Mental Health Centre

The Diversity Health Institute (DHI). a state wide service that promotes access to mental health services for people of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
ARAFMI NSW - (Association of Relatives and Friends of the Mentally Ill)

Dedicated to carers of people with a mental illness. Provides support and support groups for carers and a business hours telephone information line: (02) 9332 0700 or Toll Free 1800 655 198 (NSW only) .
National Mental Health Consumer & Carer Forum

A national voice for mental Health consumers and carers, with representative from all states/ territories and leading agencies (e.g. Beyond Blue, Carers Australia, GROW, ARAFMI).
Suicide Prevention Australia

The national umbrella body active in suicide prevention throughout Australia.
Suicide Call Back Service

A free, nationwide telephone service that offers short to medium term support for people at risk of suicide, their Carers, and those bereaved by suicide.

Beyond Blue

A national, independent, not-for-profit organisation working to address issues associated with depression, anxiety and related substance misuse disorders in Australia.

COPMI (children of parents with a mental illness)

Provides information for parents, their partners, carers, family and friends in support of these children. Provides online training courses developed by COPMI for professionals to support families either individually or through community services and programs.

A leading provider of relationship support services for individuals, families and communities. Services includes counselling, family dispute resolution (mediation) and a range of family and community support and education programs.

SANE Australia

A national charity working for a better life for people affected by mental illness. Provides factsheets, a bookshop with resources, helpline and research.
