Disability Services Australia’s Chair Ken Gabb announced this week that Leisa Hart has been appointed as the next Chief Executive Officer. Leisa will commence as Chief Executive Officer at the end of January 2019.

“Leisa is a great fit for DSA – she is values driven, has the skills and experience to build on our services and I am sure staff will welcome the opportunity to work with her,” he said.

The timing of Leisa’s recruitment will allow for a smooth handover from retiring Chief Executive Officer Mark Spurr.

Ken Gabb praised Mark Spurr’s commitment over almost nine years, “Mark has been a strong CEO for DSA.  He is a passionate champion of our mission and values and has a solid customer service ethos. Under his stewardship DSA has experienced significant sustainable growth in the range and reach of our services for people with disability, including the recent growth in DSA Mentoring Services. I know he’s also delighted in Leisa’s appointment and feels he will be leaving DSA in good hands for the future.”

DSA will continue to deliver high quality support to people with disability throughout the leadership change.
